Check-in

We arrived around 12 noon and was helped by Ms. Frenny from the Guest Relations. We were offered some cold towels as well some fresh orange juice. Their credit card reader was actually impressive as they were using a touch screen. As it was too early and the room was not ready yet, we were asked to wait in the Executive Lounge where we were served some drinks and eventually some cookies and canapes as it was already time for Afternoon Tea. When the room became available, we received our room key as well as a welcome letter.

I have exchanged emails with the Guest Relations Supervisor who informed me that the Conrad Dubai Camel is on a chargeable basis of AED 80 per piece. It would have been free had my trip last March of 2020 pushed thru, as per email of another Guest Relations Officer.

Family Hour/Happy Hour (5pm-6pm/6pm-8pm)

There is a family hour in the lounge from 5pm to 6pm where they don´t serve alcohol and the usual Happy Hour with alcoholic beverages being served from 6pm to 8pm. We visited the lounge during Family Hour and enjoyed the food offerings sans the alcoholic beverages.

Below are some photos from the Family Hour/ Happy Hour:

CONCLUSION

There are lots of things to love about our stay at the Conrad Dubai. First, the location is perfect as it is just beside the Metro Station. The rooms have nice and modern design and offered all we could ask for including fast wifi. The offering in the Executive Lounge during the afternoon tea and happy hour was very good, and the homemade cured salmon in the main breakfast restaurant was impressive. Of course the pool on the 6th floor was gorgeous with all the palm trees. Lastly, the staff we had contact with were all friendly. To all the staff of Conrad Dubai, Shukran πŸ˜‰ Hope to be back soon.
