Korean Air Prestige Lounges

I had about 12 hours in Incheon Airport before my flight to Singapore so I was able to visit two of the three new lounges in Terminal 2. First, I visited the main lounge which opened in August 2025. This is the Prestige Lounge East Right located near gate 253. It has a modern Korean design, impressive amenities like huge shower suites and a wellness center, a bar and a very good food and drinks offering, thanks to the Grand Hyatt Incheon chefs working in the live stations.

Then, I visited the Korean Air Prestige Garden Lounge West 218 which is located at the far end of the concourse. I would not recommend going here if your boarding gate is not close since it is a long trek. It is a small lounge and has the same amenities (or even less) as the main lounge in gate 253.

Boarding, Gate 225

At 5pm, I was back to the main lounge near gate 253 to check out the dinner offering. At 5:50pm, I left the lounge and headed to the boarding gate. Boarding was scheduled at 6:05pm for the 6:40pm departure. Boarding began exactly at 6:05pm with business class passengers and those with status getting priority boarding.

Aircraft, Boeing 787-9 (HL8391)

This Boeing 787-9 is about 4.6 years old (taken upon landing in Singapore).

Business Class Cabin

The business cabin is in a 2-2-2 configuration with a total of 24 seats, with all seats having direct aisle access. From the seat map, my seat 10J was marked as pet-friendly seat 😉

The cabin was full which shows this is an important route for Korean Air.

Seat, 10J

Already waiting at my seat was a pillow, blanket, headphones, slippers and a bottle of water.

Pre-departure Beverage

Moments after settling in, I was offered something to drink as well as some pretzels. I had a glass of bubbly 👍

Prosecco and pretzel snacks

Wifi

I tried to connect to the wifi but to no avail. For business class passengers, wifi is not free anyway so it was not really that important to me.

Movie Selection

I thought the movie selection was very good.

I ended up watching "How to train your Dragon".

Kid´s Toy

I asked the flight attendant working at my aisle if I could buy the toy they were offering to the kids. I got it for free instead. Thank you 🙏

Pushback and Take Off

There was a delay of 10 minutes in Incheon due to congestion. At 6:45pm, we began our pushback and 23 minutes later, we were airborne.

Dining

I decided to take advantage of the pre-order meal on Korean Air´s website weeks before departure. I chose the tomato sauce penne with pan-seared scallops which the flight attendant confirmed.

Beverage list

At 7:33pm, hot towels were offered.

The table was set up moments later and at 7:47pm, the amuse bouche (som tum with shrimp) was served. I had a glass of guava juice to drink.

Then, the tomato salad was served which I thought was fantastic.

I was also offered some bread and chose a focaccia.

The cream of potato and leek was very good 😋

The pasta with shrimp and scallop which I pre-ordered was very good 😋

For dessert, I was offered some sliced fruits and a Haagen-Dasz ice cream.

I also had chamomile tea to end the meal.

Time to Sleep

The seat turns into a fully flat bed, and I was able to sleep for an hour or so.

Pre-landing Meal

About an hour and a half before landing, I was offered a hot towel and something to drink. I chose a glass of water.

Then, a turkey ham and camembert cheese sandwich was served.

Again, I had a cup of chamomile tea.

Lavatory

The lavatory is located in front of the cabin. It had a shaving kit, mouthwash, air freshner and Payot body lotion.

Landing in Singapore

We landed in Singapore at 12:14am and reached the gate 11 minutes later. Sadly, the gate was in Terminal 4 which meant we had to take a bus to Terminal 3.

CONCLUSION

This was my first long haul flight in business class with Korean Air. Overall, the service was very good, the crew seemed to be very organized and knew which things they needed to do. The food and drinks offering reminded me of my previous flights with EVA Airways in business class, very good although still not quite as the same level as Qatar Airways. Sadly, when I asked if they were offering amenity kits on this flight, I was informed that they only offer them on certain routes and the flight to Singapore is not one of them. Overall, it was a very nice flight with very good dining experience, lie-flat seats, very good movie selection and lovely service.
