Business Class Cabin
Seat 4A
I have flown the A330 twice last year, one from Copenhagen to New York and one from Atlanta to Copenhagen. The seats (Thompson Vantage XL seats) are almost fully flat so it was okay. Sadly, the lights in the business class cabin could not be turned off so we had full lights on the whole flight back to Copenhagen.
The movie selection was good but not in par with Emirates or Turkish Airlines. I ended up watching the continuation of F1 the Movie.
Foot well (seats in row
Safety card and air-sickness bag
Noise cancelling headphones
Pre-departure Beverage
The contents included the usual dental kits, eye mask, socks, ear plugs and Verso lip balm and face cream. I still consider the amenity kits of Qatar Airways and Saudia to be generous.
Pushback & Take Off
Pushback was at 9:34pm and at 10pm, we were airborne.
To start the meal, the flight attendant offered the usual cashew nuts which was served with some drinks. I opted for the Above the Clouds mocktail.
For appetizer, I had the scallops which was good. The other option was Thai shaking beef with cucumber salad.
For my main course, I had the Beef top blade steak which was very good. The other choices were Oven-baked pasta and Ponzu marinated chicken.
To end the meal, I had the white tea. Overall, dinner was very good.
Time to Sleep
Breakfast was served which they call "Scandinavian Breakfast".
Wifi
Lavatory
CONCLUSION
It was my 3rd time to fly on SAS A330 so I knew more or less what to expect with the seats. Sadly, the lights in the business cabin which could not be turned off was not something any passenger would like on a night flight. The wifi not working and the delay of 2 hours were not appreciated either. Fortunately, the crew were friendly. The food were tasty especially the beef. Overall, a nice flight and a very good use of 30K SAS miles 👍
