Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

We arrived at the Domestic Terminal before 3pm. Luckily there is a complimentary shuttle bus to the International Terminal which took about 15 minutes.

Check-in

The check-in desks for business class and status passengers were pretty empty so we were done in a few minutes.

Delta Sky Club, Concourse F

After clearing security, we headed directly to the Delta Sky Club which is a nice lounge, although still not as good as the other lounges Iยดve visited in Asia like the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge in Singapore or the Turkish Airlines Lounge in Istanbul.

Boarding, Gate F7

Aircraft, A330 (LN-RKR)

The 10-year old A330 flying us back to Scandinavia.

Business Class Cabin

Seat map

The business cabin is in a 1-2-1 configuration from rows 1 to 8. On this flight, all the seats were occupied.

Seat 2H

I ended up choosing 2H a few days before the flight as per Mike's wishes.

For my pre-departure beverage, I settled for a glass of cranberry juice.

This is the same seats I flew in a few days ago from Copenhagen to JFK so I was more or less familiar with the seat features.

IFE controller and noise-cancelling headphones

The pillow and blanket were from the Swedish company DUX.

We got the same amenity kit from DUX which was a laundry bag kit containing a dental kit, socks, eye mask, ear plugs and a lip balm and face moisturizer from Verso Skincare.

Sadly, the foot well was a bit tight.

Movies

From the movie selection, I ended up watching the Swedish film "Den Sista Resan" and then the animated film "Moana 2".

Wifi

Sadly, I could not connect to the wifi.

Menu & Drinks List

Menu card

The champagne on board was the usual Charles Heidsieck Brut.

Take Off

We pushed back around 7:14pm and 11 minutes later, we were airborne.

Dining

As usual, service began with a warm towel. For my drinks to go with the warm nuts, I chose the "Above the Clouds" which was refreshing. I was also asked if I wanted to be woken up for the meal before landing and I said yes.

Warm cashew nuts and Above the Clouds.

Then, for my main meal, I opted for a glass of apple must.

I had the duck prosciutto with melon and mixed salad, both of which were very good.

For my main course, I had black bean-glazed short rib with ginger ponzu sauce which was delicious.

The matcha cheesecake with chocolate syrup and the cheese plate were very good ๐Ÿ˜‹

A cup of green tea to end the meal.

About 1.5 hours before landing, the FA working on our side woke me up for breakfast. First, I was offered a warm towel.

Breakfast was very good as expected. We were continuously offered refill of drinks and more bread by the crew.

Lavatory

One of the two lavatories.

Snack Bar

The snacks bar offered packed cashew nuts, protein bars, chips, muffins, pralines and more!

Landing in Copenhagen Kastrup Airport

We landed in Copenhagen Airport at 9:42am way ahead of schedule.

CONCLUSION

Just like our outbound flight to New York a few days ago, this flight from Atlanta to Copenhagen was also very nice. The crew were friendly, the seat was comfortable and the food was very good. I was able to sleep for a few hours after watching a film which was much needed as I was working later in the afternoon. Again, this is not in par with what you will get from Qatar Airways business class but for the price I paid (30K SAS points and 239 SEK, I can never complain ๐Ÿ‘
