SAS Lounge by Mastercard, F Pier Stockholm Arlanda Airport T5

New York & Atlanta flying SAS Business Class

Introduction

After winning 1M SAS points last January, I decided to book my first trip to the US. I used 21K SAS points and SEK847 per person to fly with SAS Business Class from Stockholm to JFK, and then 30K SAS points and SEK239 per person to fly SAS Business Class from Atlanta back to Stockholm. This trip gave me the chance to visit the newly opened SAS Mastercard Lounge in Arlanda T5 which I thought was a very nice lounge. In New York, Mike and I stayed at the Hilton New York Times Square which was my 200th Hilton property, and in Atlanta we stayed at the American Hotel and Hilton Atlanta, 2 nice hotels located in the city center giving us easy access to the attractions like Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca Cola. Overall, we had an enjoyable trip and short as it may seem, I was able to maximize my 4 days off at work traveling to the US šŸ‘

CONCLUSION

The new SAS Mastercard Lounge is a really nice lounge which opened in February 15, 2025 and is located in the Schengen Area in the F Pier. Just like the SAS lounges in the E gates, there is a Gold Lounge and the SAS Business Lounge. I had access to both two lounges as I have SAS Gold status. The SAS Gold Lounge is no doubt better as it has Le Bar with 1664 beers, several hot items from the buffet and nice views. The breakfast buffet in partnership with Scandic was impressive, including the Lactose free, gluten free and vegan section. The food offering between the two lounges was different: The Gold Lounge offered hot items like bacon, sausages, baked beans, etc. while the SAS Business Lounge only had the usual scrambled eggs and oat porridge. On the other hand, they had two kinds of sandwiches which were not offered in the SAS Gold Lounge. Both of the lounges had this cozy vibe, as if you are in a hotelĀ“s breakfast restaurant. Overall, this is a very nice lounge and no doubt much better than the lounges in the E gates.
