CONCLUSION
About two weeks ago, I was able to visit the newly renovated SAS Gold Lounge in Stockholm Arlanda Airport Terminal 5 which reopened in September 2015. I have visited the old SAS Gold Lounge a few times prior to the renovation and I have to say the first thing I noticed was it being very spacious. The new lounge is actually more than double the size of the old one with a new total area of 855 sq. m. The modern furniture and design matched with large windows definitely offer a more relaxing and brighter environment. There are plenty of small seating areas and most have power outlets which is a very good thing. The addition of the phone rooms, guest office and shower rooms makes it a more "complete lounge". As for the dining options, I thought the food selection was very good and the self serve bar also offered an extensive selection of alcoholic drinks. The shower rooms were rather simple but I guess that's the way SAS would like to have it. The remodeling done to this lounge was a big improvement and with its friendly staff, this is absolutely my "home lounge"!
Below are some photos of the lounge before the renovation in 2015.
