Saudia Al Fursan Lounge, Jeddah
Upon landing in Jeddah Airport, I headed directly to the Saudia Al Fursan Lounge where I had light breakfast and a shower.
Boarding, Gate A30-D
Aircraft, Airbus A330 (HZ-AQK)
Business Class Cabin
Seat 5A
Already at my seat was a pillow, blanket, headphones and a bottle of water.
The noise cancelling headphones function well 👍
Under the right arm rest, you'd find the IFE controller, AC power port and headphones socket.
Blanket
The seat does not turn into a fully flat bed but it was still okay for a 4-hour long flight.
Pre-departure Beverage & Towel
Take Off
At 7:08am, we were airborne.
Dining
I decided to have the waffles which were served with a salad, Greek yogurt, fruits and bread. For drinks, I had the date smoothie.
Meal before Landing
Lavatory
The lavatory had the usual Saudia branded toiletries.
Landing in Tunis Airport
CONCLUSION
The fact that the aircraft was parked in a remote stand was not really ideal since one has to take the stairs and carrying heavy items is not that easy. I was the last one to get off the bus together with a lady who was traveling alone with her baby and a stroller so I helped carry the stroller for her. Also, Saudia still has a lot of aircraft with old seats just like on this flight. The seat does not really turn into a fully flat bed and the personal screen can easily freeze. I flew with them from Dhaka to Jeddah last October and had the same old seat. The personal screen has to be restarted twice since it always gets stuck whenever I go to the 3D maps. The meal I had was okay, nothing special. Sadly, the flight attendant serving my side was not the friendliest and I felt like I was disturbing her whenever I asked for something. Overall, it was a nice flight but could definitely be better.
