Qatar Airways Al Mourjan Lounge

It has been awhile since I´ve been to the Al Mourjan Lounge so I stayed here even if the Al Mourjan Garden is the one closer to my boarding gate.

Boarding Gate, C54

Boarding was downstairs which means we would take a bus to the aircraft.

Aircraft, B787-9

Although taking a bus to the aircraft parked in a remote stand takes time, the advantage is you get to see the beauty of the aircraft up-close πŸ‘

Business Class Cabin

The business cabin (featuring Qsuite 2.0) was about 80-85% full. With a total of 32 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, every seat with doors ensures aisle access. This was my first time to fly with the mini version of the Qsuite, although I have flown the original Qsuite both on their A350 and on their B777.

Seat 8A, Qsuite

I was originally seated at 8E but then transferred to 8A since it was vacant.

IFE control, power ports, noise cancelling headphones, Diptyque amenity kit and refreshing towel.

Wireless charging, storage with bottle of water

Seat control, blanket

The Diptyque amenity kit consisted of a leather bag, socks, eye shades and Diptyque body lotion, face cream lip bal and natural spray. I wish all airlines would offer quality amenity kits like Qatar Airways does πŸ‘

We were also offered a set of pajamas with slippers by The White Company.

Personal screen

The IFE offered a plethora of movies to choose from. I did watch the continuation of I Am: Celine Dion as well as another film, Deadpool & Wolverine.

The noise cancelling headphones made watching films so much better.

The privacy door can be closed as you like.

Pre-departure Drink

For my pre-departure drink, I had a glass of apple juice.

Menu Card

The offering for late night dining and breakfast was very good.

Dining

Mixed nuts and a glass of RosΓ©

Late Night Dining

I had the fish for late dinner and it was excellent!

The dessert was delicious too!

The flight attendant insisted I had a dessert wine. I also had my usual green tea.

Onboard Bar

The onboard bar had the usual snacks and fruits in case you get hungry mid flight.

I was able to sleep for a couple of hours which was much needed after my recent sleep-deprived travels doing the EuroBonus Millionaire Challenge πŸ‘

Breakfast

Two hours before landing, breakfast was served. Croissants and sliced fruits were served first.

For my main, I had the omelette which was very good as expected.

Lavatory

There are 2 lavatories in the business class cabin located in the rear of the cabin, one on the left and one on the right side.

Landing in Copenhagen Airport

We landed in Copenhagen Airport about 30 minutes ahead of schedule.

CONCLUSION

I really miss flying with Qatar Airways in business class. I may be biased (or maybe not) since Qatar Airways has been awarded the world´s best business class time and time again. And there is a lot of reasons for that. Modern seats just like the Qsuite I had on this flight, impeccable service from the crew, excellent dining experience and a wonderful amenity kit and pajamas. Of course, the Al Mourjan lounges in Doha are among the best in the world. Many airlines can tick some of the boxes like Turkish AirlinesEVA Airways and Emirates but nothing can beat Qatar Airways for the overall score in my opinion. Needless to say, it was a wonderful flight from Doha to Copenhagen. If only I could fly like this more often πŸ˜‰
