Stockholm Arlanda Airport Terminal 5

We arrived in Terminal 5 at 4:50am and headed directly to security as we had already checked in on line.

Fast Track

As business class passengers, we were able to use fast track 👍

Some of the airlines using fast track service in Arlanda Airport Terminal 5.

SAS Gold Lounge

We headed to the SAS Gold Lounge after clearing security where we had a nice breakfast.

I also had a quick visit to the SAS Business Lounge located just to the right of the SAS Gold Lounge.

Boarding, Gate 8A

Boarding started on time from Gate 8A.

Business Class Cabin

The business class cabin consisted of 5 rows from row 1 to 5 in a 2-2 configuration with the middle seat being blocked.

The day before our flight, the seat map showed business class in 3 rows but on the actual flight, the cabin was 5 rows where 17 of the 20 seats were occupied.

There was no wifi on this flight, unfortunately.

De-icing

At 6:53am, the captain came on the PA to welcome us and informed that we were just waiting for the last passengers, and that we would be de-icing the wings of the aircraft. 


Pushback & Safety Video

In the business cabin, there were 4 drop-down monitors, and no personal screen.

At 7:19am, we began our pushback followed by the safety video being played on the screen.

Taxiing

At 7:27am, we had a nice take-off.

Dining

Minutes after the seat belt sign was turned off, the breakfast service began.

The Swiss cold cuts platter has apparently won an award. It was actually very good. There was also some sort of quiche. For my drinks, I had the usual apple juice and cup of green tea.

The Swiss business class cold cuts platter was very good 😋 The wooden board was cool. I actually took it home with me for recycling 👍

I was also offered some bread, butter and jam.

Mike had his cup of coffee and a glass of Champagne Duval-Leroy.

To end the meal service, the crew came to offer the Swiss chocolates 😋

We landed in Zurich Airport at 9:29am and reached our gate A73 five minutes later.

CONCLUSION

It has been years since I flew with Swiss in business class. The aircraft we flew with apparently is very new although it was surprising to find out there was no wifi and the USB ports were blocked/covered. Luckily, I did not need to charge my mobile phone. The crew on this flight were friendly as usual and the meal on board was perfect. Overall, it was a great flight.
