Saudia B777 business class, Paris to Riyadh
After landing in Paris and clearing security, I went straight to the Extime Lounge in Terminal 1 which Saudia is using. I thought was a really nice lounge. At 10:22am, I left the lounge to head to the boarding gate.
The business cabin consisted of seats from rows 15 to 23 in a 1-2-1 configuration. The seats are pretty much like the ones you would find on their B787s which I was able to experience last October from Casablanca to Jeddah and Singapore to Jeddah.
Welcome to my seat 22A!

The Elie Saab amenity kit had a generous content including a perfume and facial cream.
Hot towel, avocado and date smoothie
Movies
Sadly, there was no wifi onboard.
The meal service started with the crew serving mixed nuts at 12:20pm. I settled for a glass of apple juice for drinks.
On this flight, there was a choice between the Saudia Sufrah or the Western option.
Menu (cheese, desserts, beverages)
The Sparkling Collection
Tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal drink
The trout was very good.
The dessert was really good. The meal service was done with almost 4 hours left to Riyadh.
Since I was not able to sleep well last night, I decided to take a nap and was able to sleep for 1.5 hours.
The movie treats on offer were the usual KitKat and Twix chocolates and potato chips. It is quite different from what Turkish Airlines or Qatar Airways would offer though 😉
Larger lavatory
Saudia branded lotion and spray
Smaller lavatory
Lavatory amenities
Airshow enroute to Riyadh (50 minutes before landing).

CONCLUSION
This was my first time to fly Saudia business class from Paris to Riyadh, and Paris being an important destination for most airlines, I expected Saudia to have an impressive offering both the hard and soft product. Luckily, I was not disappointed. The seats in 1-2-1 configuration turns into a fully flat bed and has all the modern amenities. The flight having two inflight chefs (1 in first class and 1 in business class) made sure that the dining experience would be nothing but stellar. From appetizer to dessert, everything was perfect. I also love the Elie Saab amenity kit. If there is one thing I would wish for, it would be that they would give out slippers and maybe pajamas on night flights. The wifi not being available on this flight was just a minor issue since there were several interesting films to watch. The flight attendant working on my aisle was from Egypt and really took care of me throughout the flight. Overall, it was a very nice flight and something I would recommend to everyone (if you are okay with no alcohol onboard).
