Check-in, Casablanca Airport Terminal 2
Aspire Lounge
After using fast track (it had both passport control and security check), I went straight to the Aspire Lounge. This lounge is much smaller than the nearby Zenith Lounge by Royal Air Maroc I visited last October.
Boarding, Gate A3
Aircraft, Airbus A320 (F-GKXY)
Business Class Cabin
The cabin had a total of 28 seats from rows 1-7 in a 2-2 configuration. 14 of the 28 seats were occupied.
Coat hook, wifi signage
Tray table
Take Off
At 6:20am, we were airborne.
The breakfast served was uninspiring in my opinion, especially as it was in business class. There were cheese, harcha with walnuts and fig, jams and yogurt with raspberry.
Dining
There was turbulence almost the whole flight. Dining service was limited to the crew bringing the trays to each seat without the trolley. Drinks order were taken and brought to the seat as well.
Bread was also offered.
To end the service, some snacks/chocolates were offered. I had the dark chocolate first.
Wifi
Lavatory
There is one lavatory located in front of the cabin.
Landing in Casablanca Airport
At 8:15am, the captain came over the PA with some flight updates including an estimated landing time of 8:55am. We landed at 8:51am and reached the gate 6 minutes later.
CONCLUSION
This was my first time to fly Air France business class outside Europe (although not long haul). Sadly, the food and drinks offering were underwhelming. It did not help that there was turbulence almost the whole flight. The crew were friendly as usual. Overall, I would not recommend flying business class with Air France on this route.
