Exploring London and Cambridge

Punting tour in Cambridge

Trip to London and Cambridge

A few weeks ago, we were off to another trip after spending the whole summer at home. We stayed in London for three nights and two nights in Cambridge. Since we have been to London many times, we decided we´d just see those attractions we have missed in the past like the Westminster Abbey, China Town, Leicester Square, Borough Market (where we had the best seafood paella for only 9 pounds) and watching a musical in the evening (we ended up watching Back to the Future which we really enjoyed). After three nights in London, we took the train from Liverpool Station to Cambridge Train Station which went pretty well despite the train strike going on that weekend. Since our hotel (Hilton Cambridge City Centre) is centrally located, it meant we could explore the city easily. In the same afternoon we arrived, we visited the Great St. Mary´s, Kettle´s Yard and Corpus Clock while ending the day enjoying the famous Chelsea bun. On our second day, we had booked the Trinity College in the morning followed by a visit to the King´s College, punting tour, Fitzwilliam Museum and lastly to the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. We really had an enjoyable time both in London and Cambridge and our stay at different Hilton hotels made it even more memorable 😉
