The first time I visited Laos was in 2011 where Mike and I visited the city of Luang Prabang and witnessed alms giving for the first time among other things. This year, we decided to visit the capital city of Vientiane where we spent a total of 6 nights. Maybe we stayed too long, but on the other hand, we were happy to relax a bit and take it easy. Presidential Palace

Pha That Luang is the most important tourist attraction in Vientiane. This temple dates back from the 1500s.

Reclining Buddha

Patuxai, a monument dedicated to those who fought for Independence against France. Unlike the Arc de Triomphe it has four gateways and a tower.
