SWISS Senator Lounge

After clearing passport control, we headed directly to the SWISS Senator Lounge in the Schengen area. It was not busy around 8pm and I was also able to take a shower.

Boarding, Gate A73

We left the lounge at 8:33pm for the 9pm boarding. It took us 5 minutes to reach the gate so it was not that far from the lounge. At 8:58pm, boarding began, with those in business class and with status boarding first.

Aircraft, A321 (HB-IOO)

This 9-year old A321 will fly us to Stockholm tonight.

Business Cabin

The business cabin consists of seats from rows 1-7 with a total of 28 seats. On this flight, only 1 seat was vacant.

Seat, 4A

My seat 4A is a window seat.

A bottle of water and refreshing tissue was already waiting at the seat.

Pushback & Take Off

We pushed back at 9:28pm and 11 minutes later, we were airborne.

Dining

At 10:09pm, we were offered some drinks and rosemary sticks. I had a glass of apple juice while Mike had a glass of bubbly.

27 minutes later, at 10:36pm, dinner was offered. There was a choice between beef tenderloin and vegetarian pasta. We both chose the former and it was fantastic 😋 Everything was served in a tray together with a salad, cheese and dessert.

To end the meal, I had a cup of chamomile tea served with a small SWISS chocolate. As usual, they also offered the SWISS chocolate with the text "Thank you for flying SWISS".

Lavatory

There is one lavatory located in front of the cabin.

Landing in Stockholm

We landed in Stockholm at 11:46pm, four minutes ahead of schedule.

CONCLUSION

First, I have to admit that I was not expecting to get a hot meal served on this flight. We flew with SWISS Air in 2022 from Stockholm to Zurich in business class and they only served a cold meal. Then again, it was a morning flight so they probably start serving hot meals after a certain time. The beef tenderloin was actually very good, the crew was friendly and the seats (an economy seat with the middle seat blocked) was okay. Overall, it was a very nice 2-hour flight 👍
