Lufthansa A350 business class, Frankfurt to Shanghai
We had enough time during our transit in Frankfurt to visit the Senator Lounge in the Z gates so I was able to take a shower and visit the Business Lounge section on the second floor, aside from enjoying great food from the buffet.
This A350 arrived from Seoul this morning and will fly us to Shanghai tonight.

a mattress topper and slippers. The mattress topper, blanket and pillow are from the German bed manufacturer "Paradies". We were also given the sleep shirt from Van Laack before dinner.
The AKG headphones were inside the storage below the left armrest. I thought it was nice 👍
I ended up watching Gladiator II. Sadly, the movie selection was subpar from what other airlines offer like Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines.
Moments after settling in, we were offered some pre-departure beverage with a choice of water, sparkling wine and the signature Lufthansa cocktail.
I settled for a glass of water. We were also offered a pack of almonds to go with the drinks.
Wifi premium for 2 hours is 16 EUR.
Drinks were offered at 10:20pm.
Mike had the Champagne Rose while I had apple juice and mango/passion fruit juice. Olives and cheese were also offered.
At 10:56pm, the starter was served. I had the Gamba prawn with Chinese pumpkin and potato salad which was very good.
I had pre-ordered my prawn from Lufthansa's website: it was very good 😋
Between row 6 and row 7 is the galley and on the right side of it is this self-serve snacks bar which had bottles of water, chips, chocolates and almonds.
Sadly, they only had one option left as the pancakes were all gone. We got the scrambled eggs with potato which was good.
I believe there were only 2 lavatories in the business cabin, both of which were located between rows 6 and 7.
Inside the lavatory, they had refreshing towels, eye masks, Rituals sleep spray and mouth wash.

Business Class Cabin
The larger business cabin was from rows 1-6 and the smaller cabin behind the galley was from rows 7-8 in a 2-2-2 configuration. My seat 8A was in the smaller cabin. All 48 seats in the business cabin were occupied on this flight.
Seat 8A
Welcome to my seat 8A! The configuration of 2-2-2 means not all seats get direct aisle access. I had to struggle to get to the toilet when Mike´s seat is in bed mode.

The personal screen is of average size for business class. The literature pocket is below the personal screen, as well as a storage for the amenity kit and a bottle of water.

A nice sleep shirt from Van Laack 👍

CONCLUSION
This was our first time to fly on Lufthansas A350 (one of Lufthansas older A350s) and it turned out well. The A350s acquired from Philippine Airlines and their own A350s with Allegris introduced in 2024 are definitely much better since both give aisle access to all passengers. Still, we found this flight to be overall pleasant. The meal was delicious, sleeping was comfortable thanks to the mattress pad, blanket and pillow, the amenity kit was nice and we also got a sleeper shirt from Van Laack. Sadly, the movie selection was subpar to what airlines like Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines offer. Complimentary wifi for messaging was a plus. Lastly, the crew were friendly and for the price we paid, it was very much worth it 👍
