How to get here: From Shanghai Pudong Airport, best is to take a taxi. It is about a 20-minute ride from the airport. They also have a free airport shuttle if the time suits you.

There is a self-serve welcome drink station located beside the reception desks offering tea and infused water.

During check-in, we were also offered a wash bag consisting of dental kits, a comb, a shower cap and a vanity.

Inside the mini ref are 2 juices and 2 soft drinks, all of which were complimentary. As usual, they also have complimentary coffee, tea and 2 bottles of water.

Around 7pm, room service came with the welcome amenity consisting of a fruit plate. This is is normal if you have Hilton diamond status.

Breakfast Restaurant

The breakfast restaurant located in the ground floor opens at 6:30am. Sadly, we had to take the airport shuttle at 6:30am so we were not able to check out the breakfast.

Exploring the Area

Just in front of the hotel is this complex with several restaurants, cafes and a shopping mall.

We ended up having dinner in a Japanese restaurant which we would highly reccomend.

CONCLUSION

This is a newly opened hotel and having a morning flight from Shanghai Pudong Airport, we thought we´d give it a try. The hotel is actually modern with a nice design just like the Hilton Garden Inn Tbilisi Riverview where I stayed last year. The staff speak good English and were all friendly. The room we got was nice, as expected although no upgrade was given. The only difference with other Garden Inns we have stayed at was that the washbasin is outside the batroom, which I believe saves space, just like the room we had at the Motto by Hilton New York Times Square. The complimentary mini bar and fruit platter for diamond members was a big plus. They have the usual amenities like fitness center, laundry room, pantry pavilion, parking area and some claw machines in the lobby. The airport shuttle can be very useful if the timing suits you. Lastly, the location is perfect as it is just steps aways from a mall, and if you plan to visit the Disneyland, they also offer a free shuttle. Overall, we had a great stay and would gladly be back in the future.
