Turkish Airline Business Lounge

After our great flight from Stockholm to Istanbul, it was time to spend a few hours in the beautiful Turkish Airlines Business Lounge.

Aircraft, Boeing 777-300 (TC-JJP)

For this flight, Turkish Airlines usually uses their Boeing 777s.

Boarding, Gate D13

We left the lounge at 12:46am for the scheduled 1am boarding. There was some delay and boarding did not start until 1:27am.

Business Class Cabin

The larger business class cabin consists of rows 1-4 while the smaller one behind the galley has rows from 5-7.

The cabin with a total of 49 seats was almost full on this flight.

Seat, 6A

My seat 6A was a window seat.

I have flown several times in Turkish Airlines business class (the last of which was in 2022) so I will just review the food and service.

Already waiting at my seat is a pillow. There was also a pair of slippers and a blanket placed on the ottoman.

Welcome drinks were the usual lemon drink, raspberry drink and water. I settled for a glass of water.

Moments later, the FA came to offer a pair of DENON headphones, after which the amenity kit and menu card (from the inflight chef) were given.

Amenity Kit, Salvatore Ferragamo

The male version (blue) had the usual dental kit, eye mask, socks, ear plugs and Salvatore Ferragamo products (lip balm, hand lotion and facial mist).

Menu card and Wine List

Menu card

Wines

Beverage list

The inflight chef came back a few minutes later to take the order and for my main course, I chose the pasta.

Take Off

We pushed back at 2:08pm and 16 minutes later, we were airborne.

Turn-Down Service

Minutes after the seat belt sign was turned off, the crew came to distribute bottles of water.

Hot towel

Finally, the crew offered to do the turn down service which I gladly accepted.

Dining

Green apple and mixed nuts

Dinner

For starters, I chose the grilled chicken which was very good.

I also had the lentil soup.

A glass of Taittinger 👍

The homemade linguine with lobster sauce was delicious 😋

For dessert, I had ice cream and fresh fruits.

I decided to skip cheese and tea/coffee. The meal actually was very good especially the homemade pasta with lobster sauce.

Snacks Bar

The snacks bar located between the two business class cabins had the usual chocolates, dates, dried fruits, etc.

Breakfast (Before Landing)

Less than 2 hours before landing, breakfast was served.

Cheese and turkey breast, spicy tomato spread, clotted cream with fruits

Bread and drinks were offered and I had a glass of apple juice and a Danish.

The pancakes with caramelised apples were very good.

Mike had the poached Eggs Benedict and he really liked it 👍

Entertainment & Wifi

From the movie selection, I decided to continue watching "Mission Impossible".

Although wifi was offered on this flight, it always showed no connection every time I tried to connect.

Lavatory

There are two lavatories between the bigger and smaller business class cabin, this one is on the left side and had the usual amenities from Molton Brown.

Landing in Hong Kong

We landed in Hong Kong Airport at 4:42pm and reached our gate 12 minutes later.

CONCLUSION

My last business class flight in long haul with Turkish Airlines was in November of 2022 so it has been almost a year. I read that Turkish Airlines have made some further improvements with their catering service like offering homemade pasta and better breakfast options like the poached Eggs Benedict, both of which were very good on this flight. The crew were friendly although it felt like they were hurrying too much during the meal service. The seats were okay but I still prefer their new seats on the A350 and B787 which is more private and with guaranteed aisle access for everyone. Overall, it was a very nice flight and for the price we paid, it was definitely worth it.
