CONCLUSION

The Islamabad Marriott Hotel has long been considered as one of the top hotels in Islamabad. It also was in the global news during the 2008 bombing, although the hotel was rebuilt and reopened. I chose to stay in the hotel because of the brand, knowing how Marriott is. I was partly satisfied: the room was nice, the breakfast buffet was very good, the location is good and the staff were professional. Sadly, the rooms are not modern (they only have USB-A ports), the pool is not that big and the restaurant for breakfast is a bit on the smaller side. I appreciated though the free airport pick up and drop off, which most 5-star hotels offer. Overall, a nice hotel although a bit pricey.
