EVA Air Lounge, The Infinity Lounge

I only had like 20 minutes before boarding so I headed straight to the EVA Air Infinity Lounge for a quick bite before heading to my boarding gate.

Sadly, our flight was 20 minutes delayed. Fortunately, it gave me the time to visit the Sanrio Shop near gate C2, a few gates away from where we were boarding.

Aircraft, Airbus A330 Hello Kitty B-16333 Celebration Flight

This Hello Kitty jet flies between Taipei and Cebu/Bali on a daily basis so make sure you book them. Between Taipei and Cebu, the flight numbers are BR281 and BR282. The other 2 routes where they use the Hello Kitty jets are Chicago and Clark, also in the Philippines 👍

Boarding Gate, C6

Boarding was delayed from 7:30am to 7:50am but all went well after that.

Business Cabin

The business class cabin had a total of 30 seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration. On this flight, 7 seats were occupied.

My seat 9A was a window seat.

I was offered the Hello Kitty slippers which I thought were really cute. Towels were also offered moments later.

I had pre-ordered the Braised pork belly by Chef Ching Biao days before the flight so it was not on the paper menu.

The champagne on this flight was 2006 Champagne Castelnau Millesime Brut

The whole meal was served on a tray. The pork was really delicious albeit a little fatty 😉

To end the meal, I had my dessert together with a cup of Chamomile tea.

I asked the flight attendant if I could have an extra cutlery set from the economy cabin and was given 2 of them, as well as 2 Hello Kitty playing cards.

Arrival in Mactan Cebu Airport

We landed in Mactan Cebu Airport at 11:08 am, about 18 minutes behind schedule.

CONCLUSION

I am sure everyone on the plane got excited when they found out that we were flying to Cebu on this Hello Kitty jet. I actually knew it months before, but the excitement was still there. Although I have flown on a similar jet from Taipei to Fukuoka in 2015, it was just a short flight so this was much better. On the other hand, I realized that they did not have the extravagant Hello Kitty amenities in the cabin like they used to. There was no Hello Kitty pillow, napkin, air sickness bag, nor there were Hello Kitty tissue paper and cups in the lavatory. I was glad though that they had the Hello Kitty slippers as I got the normal slippers on my flight to Fukuoka last time. As expected the food was delicious, the seats were comfortable and the crew were friendly. Overall, it was a very nice and memorable flight 😊
