After spending five nights in Doha where we had an amazing time, it was time to fly to Riyadh. Although it was not my first time to visit Saudi Arabia (I was in Jeddah in November), Mike has never been to Saudi Arabia at all so we were both looking forward to this trip. As we only had three nights here, we tried to make the most of it by making sure we would visit a tourist attraction during our first day, which turned out to be the Boulevard Riyadh City which was a surprise for us - a really modern park entertainment city. The following day, we went to Diriyah (we got lost on the way there, thankfully it did not take much time before we could find the right path). On our last day in Riyadh, we visited the National Museum of Saudi Arabia (entrance is free), then the Kingdom Centre which is the tallest building in Riyadh (and the highest mosque in the country located on the 77th floor). In the afternoon, we went to Masmak Fort, Alsafat Square and Souq al Zel before ending our night in the famous Tahlia Street with its cafes, restaurants and shops. In case you are traveling to Riyadh, here are some of my travel tips and as always, feel free to comment with your own travel tips 😉
