- Exploring Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai
Although we have visited Dubai a lot of times in the past, it was our first time to visit the northern Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. It took us about an hour by taxi to get to our hotel in RAK and although there are buses from Dubai to RAK, our hotel was far from the bus station so we thought the best was to take a taxi which was reasonable as we were two persons traveling together. We spent 3 nights in RAK where we visited the Ras Al Khaimah National Musuem and Dhaya Fort among others. Back to Dubai for our last night in the UAE, we had originally planned to visit the Museum of the Future but one day before our visit, the tickets were already sold out. In the end, we visited our all-time favorite Burj Khalifa with the fountain show. We have seen the Dubai Aquarium from the outside a lot of times but never been inside so we decided to finally give it a try. The entrance fee was 299 AED which was not cheap but it gave us extras which we really enjoyed, compared to the cheapest ticket which was a bit limited. Dubai is one of my favorite cities as there´s just a lot of things to see and explore. We have visited the Burj Khalifa (At The Top), Dubai Frame, the Palm Jumeirah, Ski Dubai, La Mer, done the dune bashing and had some drinks at the Burj Al Arab during our past visits in Dubai but I am sure there will be new attractions that will make us visit this fantastic city again and again!

Dhayah Fort
View of Jebel Jais from Dhaya Fort.
Jais Flight is the longest zip line in the world at 2.83km. Enticing as it may seem, both Mike and I said "No thank you" to the occasion 😉
National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah (entrance fee is 5 AED).

A few hundred meters away from the museum (going north) is the Old part of the city where you can visit the mosque and the fish market among others.
Al Ras Kayak (canoe and kayak rental service)
Manar Mall, a very nice shopping center featuring the Manar Mall Walkway and Tridom Theme Park among others.

The Ghost Village Old Mosque is located close to Al Hamra Mall but sadly we were not able to visit it due to limited time.
