My Country #1
The United Arab Emirates was the first country I have ever visited making it officially my country "numero uno". Although my first visit was in 1997, it wasn't until my succeeding visits in 2011 and 2012 that I was able to make a tour of Dubai, one of its Emirates.
Dubai
Burj Khalifa: This is the tallest man made structure in the world. Don´t miss the observation deck "At The Top" for fantastic views of the city 😉
Burj Al Arab or "Tower of the Arabs": It is the 4th tallest hotel in the world, with a design of a sail. Also known as the world's only 7 star hotel. For more pictures of this hotel, you can check out my post here.
Palm Jumeirah: Considered as the eighth wonder of the world. Here, you can also find the Atlantis Hotel.
Dune Safari with BBQ buffet Dinner: This is definitely a must experience when visiting the UAE. The package also includes camel rides and Belly dance show.
Dubai Aquarium & Under Water Zoo: Located inside the Dubai Mall, it has one of the world's largest acrylic viewing panel.
Ski Dubai: So how would you like to ski in the desert? Located inside the Mall of the Emirates, this is an indoor ski resort worth visiting.
Dhow Cruise Dinner: This is another must experience when visiting Dubai.
Wild Wadi Theme Park: They really have a lot of interesting rides here. Plus you get a fantastic view of the Burj Al Arab.
Dubai Mall: This is the world's largest shopping mall. For me, the best part was the fountain show being held outside the mall.
Dubai Fountain Show taken in February 2012.
Abra Boat Tour: Just take a boat and enjoy the sights.
The Jumeirah Public Beach: Oh, I love the water. Although the sand gets really hot.
Abu Dhabi
The beautiful Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi where you can find the world's largest chandelier as well as the world's largest carpet.
