I have never been to Melbourne so I was really looking forward to this trip. One thing I noticed is that there are more high rise buildings in Melbourne than in Sydney. I loved exploring the city on our own for our fist day which gave us time to take the free tourist train Number 35 to get to Docklands, the Parliament and China Town among others. We also were able to visit the 12 Apostles which is a bit out of town, as well as the Melbourne Skydeck which gave us lovely views of the city before it got dark in the evening. Since we stayed at the Mercure Southbank, the Princes Bridge and Flinders Railway Station were just steps away. I sure have not explored the city fully and will just post pictures of those we have visited. As always, feel free to comment on the section below for your own travel tips.
