Exploring Bacolod

Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol

Trip to the Philippines flying Turkish Airlines Business Class

Last week, we had a chance to visit Bacolod for the time. It was a short visit as we arrived around 12 noon and had a ferry to Iloilo at 11am the following day. I was also sick at that time so decided to just make the most of this trip and decided to skip the famous The Ruins (ruins of an early 20th-century mansion). For those traveling to Bacolod, here are some of my travel tips and as always, feel free to comment below for your own travel tips.

San Sebastian Cathedral

Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol Building

Capitol Park and Lagoon (there is a small coffee shop here where we had refreshing iced coffee and iced chocolate)

Inside the Negros Museum

A painting inside the Negros Museum

Familia Luzuriaga Mausoleum, this is in the Guinness World Records for being the only cemetery in the world located in the middle of the highway.

Aside from being the home of Chicken Inasal, Bacolod is also famous for pastries like Pastillas de Manga and Piaya 😋
