Thai B747 business class, Bangkok to Rome
Here´s a retro review of one of my first flights in Thai Airways business class. Just like on other Asian airlines, the crew were friendly, the food was great and the seat was comfortable.

Thai Royal Silk Lounge
A visit to the
Thai Royal Silk Lounge before boarding.

Boarding
Boarding was supposed to start at 11:40pm but eventually it started at 12midnight.
Business Class Cabin
The business class cabins are located on the main deck and the upper deck. Our seats were located on the upper deck with a 2-2 configuration.
Seat 12J
My seat 12J was a window, located on the right side of the cabin.
The personal screen is really not as big as the ones being offered by other airlines.

Porsche Design Amenity Kit
The Porsche Design amenity kit consisted of a brush/comb, a slumber shade, earplugs, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a small bottle of Colgate mouthwash, Bogner lip balm, Bogner energizing body lotion and comfort socks.
Pre-departure Beverage
I had a glass of fresh orange juice while Mike had a glass of Piper Heidsick Brut Champagne. At the same time, hot towels and newspapers were also offered.
Dining
I had a glass of apple juice while Mike had his usual gin and tonic.
The appetizer actually tasted great. Unfortunately, I lost the copy of the first servings menu and I couldn't remember what I had either.

And lastly, the dessert! Everything from the appetizer to the dessert tasted excellent.
Lavatory
Just love the Aigner skin care products provided in the lavatory.
Time to Sleep
After the first serving, I decided to watch some films and then decided to sleep, as it was an evening flight.
Snacks
In between the first and second servings and upon request, there was instant noodle soup with Chinese roast pork and garnitures.
Breakfast
About one and a half hour before landing, breakfast service started. I ordered a glass of apple juice for me and orange juice for Mike.
A plate of fresh fruits and yoghurt 😋
Potato and Leek Omelet, Pan-fried Veal Chipolata, Sauteed Mixed Vegetables
The other choices for the main course were Pancake stuffed with Scrambled egg, Pan-fried Pork Sausage, Roesti Potatoes, Baked Tomato with Olive Oil and Herbs and Cold Cut Platter (Biershinken, Butcher Ham, Salami, Gruyere Cheese).
Arrival in Rome
Rome is one of my favorite cities and that day, we got lucky to have a wonderful weather thus making our sightseeing tour very productive 😍
