Lufthansa business class, Stockholm to Frankfurt
Flight: LH801
Departure time in Stockholm (ARN): 10:00
Arrival time in Frankfurt (FRA): 12:15
Aircraft: Airbus A321
Seat: 5C
Duration: 2h 15m
Date of flight: October 24, 2013
* This is an award travel, Business Class flight #35
Flying business class intra-Europe may seem to be boring since it's only a few hours flight. But I have to say that not all the airlines serving the continent deliver a very good job in rendering professional service and very good food, and that there is always something to look forward to in every flight. I've always been impressed with Lufthansa and today, I was able to experience the same quality service from the cabin attendants.
SAS Lounge
The SAS Lounge at Terminal 5 is a very basic lounge with good food offerings and free internet/wifi connection. For more pictures of this lounge, please click here.
Aircraft, Airbus A321
The Airbus 321 (manufactured in 2007) on a cold morning at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Boarding, Gate 7
Boarding started on time at 9:30am at Gate 7.
As soon as I reached the door, I was greeted by the cabin attendant.
Business Class Cabin
The flight to Frankfurt was almost 100 percent full that day, with only one vacant of the 26 seats.
Seat 5C
As usual, the middle seat is left vacant for "Your Space".
Seat pocket and legroom
The legroom is okay considering that I am not a very tall guy. There was no personal screen but newspapers and magazines were available.
Minutes after settling in, I was offered some magazines and I chose the Time to keep me updated.
Dining
The breakfast on the flight consisted of a plate of cold cuts, different kind of cheese, a small bowl of fruits and muffins 😋
A delicious plate of cheese and cold cuts 😋
About 40 minutes before landing, duty free was offered. A few minutes later, we were given a souvenir: a bottle of Feines Zeug containing white almonds, dried cranberries and cherry.
Lavatory
The lavatory was always kept clean.
CONCLUSION
This was my third time to take this flight (Stockholm to Frankfurt) with Lufthansa so I already knew more or less what to expect. As usual, the service was very professional and yet friendly. The food served tasted very good and the little gift before landing was something new, which was very much appreciated. Overall, flying with Lufthansa intra-Europe is always a good experience.
