Check-in

We arrived at Changi Airport Terminal 1 about three hours before our flight and the check in counters were still closed.

A few minutes later, a young lady approached us and told us that there was premium check in for those travelling in business class. She then escorted us to the right place 😉

Premium check-in counters

I got my Eva Air boarding pass together with the lounge invitation card after a few minutes and went directly to the immigration controls connected to the premium check in area.

SATS Premier Lounge

After passing the immigration and security controls, we then headed to the SATS Premier Lounge, which is a lounge being used by Qantas as well, a review of which you can find here.

The magazine rack was located just behind our seats.

Seat 7D

Welcome to my Royal Laurel seat, 7D! There are two business class cabins, the bigger one with 22 seats located in the forward and the smaller one with 16 seats on the rear.

From the movie selection, I ended up watching Khumba.

A blanket and a pair of slippers were already on the seat when I came. Unfortunately, the flight was 15 minutes delayed although I couldn't remember what the reason was. One of the cabin attendants came and took my drinks order after take off and I ordered their 100% nature carrot juice. The arrival cards were also distributed minutes later.

Pre-departure Beverage

Between orange juice and water, I chose the latter as my pre-departure beverage. Cold towels were also distributed a little later.

CONCLUSION

So it was my first time flying on Eva Air in business class and I have to say I was really impressed. I thought the service was impeccable and the food tasted great. The seats were very comfortable and the fact that it turns into a fully flat bed is great. The delay of 15 minutes was not a big deal for us since we were actually staying for two nights in Taipei. As a souvenir, I also got two EVA Air pens which would be an addition to my collection. Overall, a very nice flight. Thanks, Eva Air 😍
