Check-in

We took the shuttle boat at 2:20pm from Piazza San Marco and arrived at the hotel 15 minutes later. We were helped by a friendly associate during check-in and was told we got upgrade to a deluxe room which has partial views of the canal and direct views of Venice 😍 We were informed of the hotel amenities including a 2 hour complimentary access to the Spa although it has to be pre-booked. We were also informed about our access to the Executive Lounge offering canapes and alcoholic drinks from 5pm to 7pm. A deposit of 50 Euro was also asked. Minutes later, we were handed our room keys and informed we could use Elevator number 3, which is the same elevator for the Skyline Rooftop Bar. The other elevators can also be used but it would require further walking to reach our room.

In the evening around 10:45pm, we heard some fireworks and watched it from our room.

We later learned that it was the usual fireworks in the beach of Jesolo which is annually held (on Sundays but due to bad weather, was instead held the following day).

CONCLUSION

I was really looking forward to this stay since I´ve read a lot of good things about this hotel which originally was a flourmill. The shuttle boat from Piazza San Marco (and later in the evening from Zatterre) was a very nice offering since you can take it as often as you want and be back in the city (or the hotel) within 15 minutes. The room upgrade to a deluxe room with Venice view was very much appreciated as well as the welcome amenity of Italian cookies 👍 The breakfast buffet had an extensive offering although we wished we had known of the Chinese Corner 😉 The offering in the Executive Lounge during happy hour was not that extensive but the delicious shrimps made up for the shortcoming 😉 The rooftop pool was definitely the highlight of this hotel but during my visit, it was really crowded. The 2-hour complimentary access to the jacuzzi and sauna was perfect but unfortunately, we didn´t have the time to use it. The hotel may not be centrally located but at the same time, it gives you an escape from the usual hustle and bustle of  Venice. Of course, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall, we had an amazing time during our stay and will definitely recommend it to everyone. To all the staff of Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, Grazie Mille 😍
