How to get here: From Adnan Menderes Airport, take the train to Hilal station and from there, change to Izmir Metro and get off at Çankaya station. The hotel is a few minutes walk from there.

I arrived at the hotel around 2pm and was helped by a friendly receptionist who told me that my room was ready and that the housekeeping is just checking if everything is okay. For the meantime, he offered me the signature Double Tree cookie and asked if I wanted to drink something although I declined.

A few minutes later, I was given my room key and was informed that inside the elevator, R is for the restaurant, RF for the outdoor pool, F for the Fitness Center (only left elevator), etc.

Around 5pm, the phone rang and I was informed by the receptionist that they were sending a birthday cake for me. It was such a nice surprise and I was really happy specially since they made me one year younger 😍

CONCLUSION

I have to say I was really impressed by the beautiful design of the lobby as well as the lobby bar since I was expecting a different design based on the exterior. The room I got was very nice and from where it was (9th floor) it offered fantastic views of the surroundings. The hotel amenities included an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a business center among others which was great. The surprise birthday cake was really something I did not expect and for which I was very thankful for 😍 Of course, the staff were very friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and because of its great location (a few minutes walk to the tourist attractions), lovely rooms and wonderful staff, I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone when in Izmir.
