Apart from being able to fly on LAN's Dreamliner between Frankfurt and Madrid, the other reason I chose this route was that I wanted to stay one night in Madrid so I could explore the city. Although my flight to Stockholm the following day was at 11am, I still managed to go quickly to the city and see the beauty of Madrid ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Opera House

I really enjoyed my short visit to the city and I wished I had more time but unfortunately, I had a flight to catch. I took the subway back to Hilton Madrid Airport, took the hotel's airport shuttle and around 9:30, I was at Terminal 4 of Madrid Barajas Airport.

Fast Track

Lounge & Boarding, Gate K87 Terminal 4

Since I haven't visited the Sala Dalรญ Lounge in Madrid yet, I decided to have a quick visit before heading to the boarding gate.

Seat, 2F

The business class cabin has a 2-2 configuration with the middle seats being blocked, just like what many European airlines do. Two of the 12 seats were occupied that Easter Sunday morning ๐Ÿ˜‰

My seat 2F was a window.

A few minutes after settling in, the captain welcomed us onboard and informed us of our flight time of 3 hours and 55 minutes. The female cabin attendant came to my seat later and offered me newspapers in English and Spanish and I chose the former.

Dining

I was also served a glass of fresh orange juice which was really good.

A few minutes after the seatbelt sign was turned off, the cabin attendant came to my seat and asked if I wanted to have my lunch served. I haven't eaten anything from the lounge so I told her I could have it now. She took my drinks order and after awhile, my Hero mango juice was served.

My lunch consisted of Salmon with potatoes and beans, salad and a dessert which all tasted good ๐Ÿ˜‹

Landing in Stockholm Arlanda Airport

The flight went smoothly and we landed at Stockholm Arlanda Airport at 3:45pm, thus concluding my wonderful birthday trip ๐Ÿ˜

CONCLUSION

It was my first time to fly on Iberia Express and I thought that the service was okay. The flight attendants were nice although I wish they had been more proactive as we were only 2 passengers in the cabin and they never really took time to talk with me other than those times they were serving the meal. The food was okay and is probably at par with other airlines offerings. Overall, a nice flight.
