Check-in

Check-in went smoothly and as a diamond member, I got an upgrade to a premium room which is about 32 sq.m.

Elevators & Hallway

The highest floor is 3rd floor although there is the ground floor, R level where the breakfast restaurant is and the Mezzanine level before reaching the first floor so in reality, we were on the 6th floor. There is also a 4th floor but I am not sure if there are rooms there.

The bed was comfortable as expected but it slides because of the wheels.

Suite pad (which has all the hotel informations).

There is a seating area opposite the bed. There is a sofa bed and 2 arm chairs and a table.

CONCLUSION

You can never have a more central hotel than the Hotel Astoria Vienna: it is located on Kärntner Strasse which is the most popular shopping street in Vienna. Both the St. Stephen´s Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera are a short walk from the hotel. As expected, the rooms are modern and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet offering was very good too. Overall, a very lovely stay!
