CONCLUSION

We landed in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport around 4pm and had a flight to Chiang Mai the following morning so we decided to stay at the Novotel Airport Hotel. The rates in this airport hotel were really high compared to the rates in city so we thought this must be a very nice airport hotel. Unfortunately, this is the case where the hotel has monopoly and can charge expensive rates but doesn´t feel the urgency to keep the facilities well maintained as guests are willing to pay the high rates anyway. The room we got was okay but definitely not worthy of the price we paid. The carpets along the hallway were stained, etc. The room rate did not include breakfast either making it a really expensive hotel in Bangkok. I would probably choose to stay in the city and take a taxi instead next time I have a short lay over as the hotels in the city are much nicer and cheaper 😉
