Check-in
We arrived at the hotel around 6:50pm from our Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul and was welcomed by Amanda, one of the receptionists working that day. She welcomed me as a Diamond member and informed that we had received an upgrade to a twin deluxe room with balcony which is located on the 16th floor, the highest floor. She also asked if I wanted the bonus points or the free breakfast, and since breakfast has a higher value, I opted for it. Lastly, she gave us some hotel information including the breakfast opening hours which is 6:30am to 10:30am.

Exploring the Area
Being in the Little India area, from the hotel you are just steps aways from the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple.

CONCLUSION
Having two nights in Singapore, we decided to try the two Hilton properties, with the Hilton Garden Inn Serangoon being our "home" for our first night. Although I've been to Singapore a few times before, I have not visited the Little India area so it was cool to be staying in this place and being able to explore it as well. There are temples, nice restaurants and almost all things which would make you feel that you are in India (although it's much cleaner here 😉) The room upgrade we got was very nice and having a balcony was perfect to better view the surroundings. I thought the facilities were great especially the pool on the 8th floor. As for the breakfast buffet, the food selection was extensive and much better than what you'd normally find in other Garden Inns in Europe. Lastly, the staff were all friendly and for the price we paid, this hotel is really worth it. In case you are looking for a nice hotel and looking to explore Little India at the same time, the Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon is your perfect choice 😍
