I thought the design of the lobby was nice although there were some parts which were really dark.

Check-in

We arrived at the hotel around 11:15am fresh from our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Singapore Serangoon located in the Little India district. We were welcomed by Diana, one of the receptionists working that day and asked if we wanted to do our check in at the Executive Lounge, and which we accepted.

The Executive Lounge is located on the 4th floor and is just temporary as the real Executive Lounge is under renovation (scheduled to open on the 2nd quarter of 2018 as per their website) and this one on the 4th floor is actually a departure lounge. We were helped by a friendly associate during the check-in process and got upgraded to one of their centennial king suites which was perfect 😍

The suite has a separate living room and bedroom and as you enter, you'll find the coffee and tea making facility to your left ...

Complimentary wifi was actually fast 👍

To the right of the work desk is the living room with a long daybed, a table ...

... and a wall-mounted TV.

The bedroom was spacious enough and had a nice view of the Fountain of Wealth below 👍

In the corner of the room to the left is a chair and table.

The bathroom was spacious and had two sinks.

I noticed that the bath amenities were changed to Shanghai Tang as the ones we had in Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus in April last year was still Aromatheraphy Associates, which was the standard amenity.

Then there's the bathtub to the right ...

... with the Conrad duck 👍

There's also the walk-in shower (and the ones we normally use as we are not much fans of bathtubs, aside from it being not environment friendly 😉).

We also got a welcome amenity consisting of a fruit basket, a bottle of Australian red wine (Tempus Two) and a box of chocolates. Thanks so much, guys 😍

I really don't remember any other hotel I've stayed at serving ice cream in their breakfast buffet so kudos to Conrad Centennial Singapore for this 👍

I was able to visit the Business Center on the 5th floor but unfortunately, no pictures were allowed.

Exploring the Area

It was our second day in Singapore so in the afternoon we decided to go to the Waterfront Promenade to take pictures of the Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion (which was being renovated) and in the evening, we took a taxi to visit some of the attractions in the Gardens by The Bay including the Garden Rhapsody Show which was full of folks even if it was raining and the Spectra which is a light and water show in front of the Marina Bay Sands.

How cool is it to be dining beside the Fountain of Wealth 😉

The Merlion statue was under construction during our visit.

CONCLUSION

Having stayed at other Conrad hotels in the past including Conrad Manila, Conrad Bangkok and Conrad Seoul, I was really excited to be able to stay here and see how it compares with the other Conrads. First, I was impressed that we could actually check in early and the fact that we were upgraded to a Centennial Suite was just awesome. I thought the room was very modern and spacious and the view of the Fountain of Wealth was just perfect. The food offering from the Executive Lounge during afternoon tea and evening cocktails as well as the breakfast buffet was very extensive and of high quality, not to mention the presence of the ice cream 😉 The outdoor pool on the 4th floor also offered nice views although the infinity pool of the Marina Bay Sands is still unbeatable. The location is very ideal as you are just steps away from the Fountain of Wealth, the Suntec City with its countless restaurants and a short walk to the Waterfront Promenade. Lastly, the staff were all very friendly and did their best to make our stay memorable, just like on our other Conrad stays 😍
