Review: Radisson Blu Skycity Hotel, Arlanda Airport

Trip to New Zealand & flying with the King of Sweden on my 100th flight in Business Class

Earlier this month, I was able to explore New Zealand, thanks to Singelresor. We flew with Emirates to Christchurch where we explored the South Island; then took the ferry boat to North Island and after visiting Wellington, Rotorua and Auckland, flew back home. As I had enough Emirates Skywards miles, I decided to upgrade my flight from Dubai to Stockholm in Business Class where I also had the chance to see King Gustav of Sweden as he was seated in front of me! I've flown 99 times in business class prior to this flight so this flight was actually my 100th time to fly in business class. Here are some reviews of the hotels we stayed at, as well as the top attractions we visited while in New Zealand, the land of the Kiwis!

CONCLUSION

My Emirates flight to Dubai was not until afternoon but since Mike had a very early flight to Paris on Air France, we decided we would book an airport hotel. Choosing Radisson Blu Skycity Hotel had been an easy task since I have gold status with them and would definitely want to earn more points as I got an offer prior to booking. I loved the fact that there was free wifi and it was very fast. Also, the bed was very comfortable and the separate living room was a plus. The selection on the buffet was extensive and included an "organic section" of salmon, turkey and beef among others, which was impressive. On the other hand, there was no egg section and I did not see any note that one could order it either. The receptionist who checked us in was also friendly and professional. Lastly, the toiletries offered were okay although the scent was definitely not among my favorites. Of course, the hotel being an environment-friendly hotel is a great thing. Overall, this is a very nice hotel located just a few steps to Terminal 4 and 5 and with modern design, free super breakfast and fast wifi connection, this hotel is highly recommended. To all the staff of Radisson Blu Skycity Hotel, "tack sÄ mycket!"
