Introduction

I've heard a lot of good things about this lounge and it was obvious that when I finally got the chance to visit it in June, I was so ecstatic. Upon arrival, you are greeted by your "personal assistant" who will take care of the formalities of your journey, accompany you through security, keep your passport for security purposes, and assist you when it is time for boarding. My personal assistant who was a very nice lady finished her duty about an hour later so she handed me over to her colleague who took care of my needs during the rest of my stay in the lounge. I have heard that you can also request for a specific car model like a Mercedess S Class, Porsche Panamera or Cayenne (thru your personal assistant) when you get driven to the aircraft later for boarding, although I was not able to verify it.

The "Asparagus Menu" read as follows:

Asparagus Soup
Prosciutto Campaccio
Grilled Tuna, Wild Salmon Fillet
Rib Eye Steak, Iberico Pork Steaks
Asparagus Ice Cream

I was greeted by a young guy who offered me something to drink and I decided to have a glass of Rosé champagne.

First, I ordered the consommé soup which I thought was okay but nothing special. Actually, I didn't notice the ala carte menu placed behind the wine glasses until it was dessert time. Otherwise, I would have ordered the asparagus soup.

As for my main meal, I decided to have a little of everything from the buffet. I have to say the food was phenomenal and that I agree with those bloggers saying that the food is more like from a five star hotel.

Conclusion

Now I see why Lufthansa has made the access to this lounge exclusive for Lufthansa first class passengers. The food was excellent just like in a five star hotel and the facilities were great. And having a personal assistant is definitely a plus. Of course, it would really be hard if all other first class passengers from different airlines would have access and get their own personal assistant. The service I have to say though was not that consistent. The waiter during lunch time was almost alone all the time that I thought he was kind of tired and not that "friendly" anymore during the service. On the other hand, the staff in the bar, the other lounge attendants, the lady in charge of the shower suites and my personal assistants were all wonderful and did their work well. Of course, the ride to the aircraft was also awesome. Overall, a very nice lounge although the service could still improve.
