TRIP TO ZAGREB, OPATIJA AND RIJEKA
Months ago, we decided to book a trip to Vienna from Stockholm and stay there for 2 weeks where we would take a side trip to Croatia by bus and train. We thought we would take a bus to Zagreb and stay there for 2 nights and then proceed to Rijeka and Opatija for a stay of 4 nights before taking the train back to Vienna. We planned our trip early so we were able to get good rates for our hotel stays which included staying at two Hilton properties in Zagreb (DoubleTree by Hilton and the Canopy by Hilton Zagreb City Centre) as well as the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Resort and Spa which opened July of last year, and where we got an upgrade to their Costabella Suite. It was really cool to have done this trip as all three cities we visited were beautiful and interesting and the people were friendly.

The Costabella suite is a corner suite with about 60 sq.m. in size. There is an entryway where you´d find the guest washroom to the left, after which you will be greeted by a beautiful living room with sofa which is really spacious. To the left of the living room is the bathroom and bedroom. The balcony can be accessed both from the living room and the bedroom which is perfect.

CONCLUSION
This was our first time in Rijeka and we were really happy to have stayed at the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa. This is a fairly new hotel, having opened in July of last year. The room upgrade we got as a diamond member was very much appreciated. Check in was efficient and friendly, and all the staff we had contact with throughout our stay were enthusiastic and always ready to be of help. Of course, the view from the room was unbeatable as you get lovely views of the Adriatic as well as a bit of Opatija from the right side. We enjoyed the indoor pool as much as the outdoor pool although we did not try the sauna. The offerings during the evening service in the Executive Lounge was very good and was already enough for a decent dinner. For breakfast, to be offered several kinds of bubbly was impressive, add to that the extensive offering from the buffet and you won´t be needing anything else. Of course, the location is perfect to explore both Opatija and Rijeka. Overall, we really had an unforgettable stay in this hotel and would gladly recommend it to everyone who are dreaming of a perfect vacation.
