Months ago, we decided to book a trip to Vienna from Stockholm and stay there for 2 weeks where we would take a side trip to Croatia by bus and train. We thought we would take a bus to Zagreb and stay there for 2 nights and then proceed to Rijeka and Opatija for a stay of 4 nights before taking the train back to Vienna. We planned our trip early so we were able to get good rates for our hotel stays which included staying at two Hilton properties in Zagreb (DoubleTree by Hilton and the Canopy by Hilton Zagreb City Centre) as well as the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Resort and Spa which opened July of last year, and where we got an upgrade to their Costabella Suite. It was really cool to have done this trip as all three cities we visited were beautiful and interesting and the people were friendly.

Since we arrived at 12 noon and the room was not yet ready, we were given a key to access the Transfer Lounge located one floor below. It has lockers, seating area, desks, changing room, toilet and showers so it was perfect for us to leave our luggage and then head to the city for some more sightseeing. It would really be great if all hotel offer this amenity 👍

CONCLUSION
This was our second time to stay at a Canopy hotel, the first one being at the Canopy by Hilton Al Seef in Dubai where we had a great stay. Our stay at the Canopy Zagreb was no different as it was a very nice hotel with a great location, being much closer to the city center than the DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb. Aside from the central location, we also loved the Transfer Lounge which allows guest arriving early or departing late to store their luggage in the locker room and freshen up or even take a shower before enjoying their free time. I wish more and more hotels would offer this service. Of course, the room we had was nice, the design was modern and the refillable water bottle in the room was a big plus. Breakfast buffet had an extensive offering although the dining area is a bit small and could be crowded when the hotel is full. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in this hotel and would gladly stay here again when in Zagreb 😉
