Trip to Dominica and the French West Indies
A few weeks ago, Mike and I were on a trip again and this time, we explored three small islands in the Caribbean. First, we flew from Paris to Fort de France in Martinique where we stayed for two nights. From there, we took the ferry from Saint-Pierre to Roseau, Dominica where we were hosted by our travel partner in their lovely lodge for five nights. From Roseau, we took the ferry to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe and stayed there for three nights before flying back to Paris. Both Martinique and Guadeloupe are overseas regions of France so it was like traveling within Europe as no passport control was required. Obviously, they speak French although English was also spoken in restaurants and hotels. In Dominica, we met Norun, owner of the beautiful Hibiscus Valley Inn. While there, we did different tours including a visit to the Cabrits National Park and Kalinago Center among others, and did one of the coolest water activities I've known, river tubing 😊 We definitely had fun during this trip and hopefully we would be back again to explore more of the Caribbean islands in the future 😉

CONCLUSION
After taking the elevator to the second floor, we were immediately greeted by the staff at the reception desk and after scanning our boarding passes, we looked for a place to sit as the lounge was a bit busy. There is a smaller seating area to the left of the reception while the main seating area where the buffet area is also located, is to the right of it. We found a small seating section in the corner of the lounge with a partial view of the tarmac and decided to settle there. The buffet had good offerings and the sandwiches and soup according to Mike were very good. I had some Malo Fromage as well as some yogurt and Tropicana juice which was perfect as I was not really hungry. They also had cup noodles although they only had the spicy flavor which was not for me. Beside the espresso machine were Valrhona mini chocolates which reminded me of Qatar Airways business class since it is the same chocolate they are giving on their flights 😉 There are no toilets inside the lounge although you can use the airport's toilet two levels down. Wifi is complimentary although there are no work stations. Lastly, a staff went around serving Billecart-Salmon Brut champagne which I have not experienced in any of the lounges I have visited in the past so this is definitely a big plus. Overall, this lounge is an average business class lounge offering good food and drinks selection although to have a staff go around the lounge to serve champagne to each guest is definitely a big plus 👍
