Trip to Kazakhstan in Lufthansa First Class and Dubai to Stockholm in Qatar Airways Business Class
A few weeks ago, I traveled to Kazakhstan for the first time where I spent two nights in the capital city of Astana. I flew from Dubai to Astana via Frankfurt (and back) in Lufthansa First Class using my miles and needless to say, it was one of the best trips I've ever had. I had a separate ticket on Qatar Airways between Stockholm and Dubai where I flew in economy class on the outbound and business class on the inbound. My business class ticket on Qatar Airways from Dubai gave me the chance to visit their newly opened lounge which was really nice, as well as that of British Airways'. This whole trip lasted for a week and eventhough it was very extensive, I loved every single minute of it!

CONCLUSION
Featuring Lufthansa's latest modern and convenient lounge design, this is probably one of the best Lufthansa Lounges I've been to. I loved the fact that they have several seating areas and even with it's limited space, it still felt spacious. I also liked that there's a luggage storage (I wish all lounges could offer it) and a relaxation zone which is located in the corner of the lounge. This (relaxation zone) together with the workstations are the only features missing from the adjacent Business Lounge, if I'm not mistaken. I thought the food offering from the buffet was great specially the sweet chili shrimp roll and the beef goulash which tasted fantastic. The lounge actually got a bit busy around 11pm but not to the extent that all the seats were taken. The staff was very friendly and always refilling the buffet the whole time I was there. It may not have the really gorgeous designs of the Skyteam Lounge and the British Airways Concorde Bar but I guess it's the simplicity that makes it a nice lounge. Overall, with friendly staff and great food selection from the buffet, this lounge is worth visiting before your flight.
