I arrived at the hotel around 1:45am and after the security scanning and metal detector, I was helped by a friendly associate who informed me that I got a suite room 😍 I had previously contacted the hotel and had given my Marriott Rewards number where I have gold status so I guess it had helped with the room upgrade 😉 I was informed about the timings of breakfast, both in the Executive Lounge and in the main restaurant. I was also asked for a 300 Rial deposit. Lastly, I was asked if they should book a taxi for me to the airport but since I was planning to use Uber, I declined. With my room keys in my hand, I was then showed the way to the elevators.

This is one of the most spacious suites I've stayed at and it actually reminded me of the Executive Suite in Hilton Panama where we stayed a few years ago.

CONCLUSION
This stay is part of the Plus Qatar Program by Qatar Airways where I was given a complimentary night during my lay-over in Doha. As a five star hotel, I was really impressed with the rooms (and views) and the breakfast selection on the buffet was extensive. The amenities like the fitness center, spa and the pool were a big plus. I thought the palm trees by the pool were very nice and it was a pity that my stay was just a short one. The connector to the shopping mall in the 2nd floor is very convenient as well. Lastly, the staff were all professional and helpful especially the Filipino working in the Executive Lounge. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay and the fact that I got a suite upgrade because of my status just made it even more memorable. To all the staff of Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, Shukran 😍
