Check in

I have already checked in on line the day before the flight but I thought I'd check out the new check in counters which are located on a much larger area of the airport though a bit far from the security check.

Lounge

The Aurora Executive Lounge is a third party lounge used by airlines departing from Arlanda Airport Terminal 2 including British Airways, KLM and of course Finnair.

The Christmas tree placed near the reception area of the lounge.

Aircraft

Finnair's Airbus A320 bound for Helsinki

Boarding

Boarding started 30 minutes before departure at gate 65 with business class passengers and One World elite members getting priority boarding.

Seat

My seat, 4C was an aisle. That day, the cabin was only half full, and as usual the middle seats are left vacant.

Legroom

Inflight magazines, Safety Instructions card, etc.

As soon as boarding was completed, the flight attendant started offering newspapers and I took a copy of the Financial Times.

Finnair menu card, Sky Bistro which is more or less for the economy class passengers wishing to buy some food and drinks since business class passengers already get complimentary snacks and drinks.

Dining

Chicken Curry Toast and apple juice

The chicken sandwich tasted very good and went well with my juice. I was also offered some coffee and tea but I declined so my Marimekko cup remained unused throughout the flight ;)

From the inflight magazine, one gets reminded that Finnair is Santa's official airline

Arrival in Helsinki

We landed 15 minutes early at Helsinki Airport which was a good thing since I had planned to explore the city a bit.

Welcome to Helsinki Airport!!!

CONCLUSION

There it was, another short but great flight on Finnair in business class! I have flown this route a lot of times already and just like the previous times, the service and food was great. I know the seats are not really business class seats but since all European airlines are offering this same product, then there is no reason for me to complain. Overall, a very nice flight.
