Lufthansa business class, Stockholm to Frankfurt
Trip to Cebu flying Lufthansa & Swiss Business Class
Introduction
This summer, we are spending almost three weeks in the Philippines, specifically in Cebu. We were able to take advantage of the Lufthansa partner sale in business class in August 2024 so we would be flying from Stockholm to Shanghai, and then Cathay Pacific in economy class from Shanghai to Cebu. We are traveling as a family so we are really looking forward to this trip.

Arlanda Terminal 5
We arrived at Stockholm Arlanda Terminal 5 pretty early, around 10:20am for our 1:15pm flight. Lufthansa uses Zone 1 for checking-in it´s passengers. As business class passengers, we were able to get priority check-in. It took awhile though before we could get our boarding passes to Shanghai as the agent was not sure if we needed a visa for our transit. Swedish passport holders are allowed to stay in Shanghai for up to 144 hours or 6 days as long as they are transiting to a third country, which was our case.
SAS Mastercard Lounge (Business Lounge)
We also visited the SAS Business Lounge in the E gates where our flight was departing from. They had green peas soup, Korean egg noodles, roasted potato salad and carrot and red cabbage salad among others.

Business Class Cabin
Pushback & Take Off
We pushed back at 1:24pm and about 7 minutes later, we were airborne.
Seat 3A
My seat 3A was a window seat, and as usual, legroom was okay for me.
Dining
Around 1:41pm, lunch was served.
Mike had the volcano ham which he thought was very good, as well as the Tiramisu.
I on the other hand had the carrot although I did not much as I was still full from the visit to the lounge.
I had a glass of apple juice while Mike had a glass of Winzersekt/Sparkling wine.
I also had Chamomile tea to end the meal.

Landing in Frankfurt
We landed in Frankfurt Airport at 3:16pm and reached our parking spot 10 minutes later. Since it was the Non-Schengen Terminal, the jet bridge was not used. Instead, we took the stairs disembarking from the Emergency Exit (which was cool) and then took the bus the the Schengen area of the Airport.
CONCLUSION
Overall, it was a nice flight: the lounge visit was nice, the meal served onboard was okay although I thought it could be better, and the crew were lovely. For this short flight and for the price we paid, it was really worth it.
