Me in the Main Square of Tarragona in 2009

First visit: May 2009
My Country #14

I've been to Spain thrice in the past and during those times, I was able to visit a few places: Tarragona in 2009, Barcelona, Girona and Roses in 2014 and Madrid in 2015. I really loved the city of Barcelona with its nice squares and the famous Sagrada Familia as well as the city of Madrid with it's beautiful Royal Palace among others. Of course, the people are also very friendly and the food really good! In case you are planning to visit any of these places in the future, here are some of my travel tips:

Sagrada Familia: With it's ever changing architecture, this Cathedral is never to be missed when in Barcelona.

Plaza Real: This is definitely one of the most beautiful squares I've seen and simply not to be missed when in Barcelona.

Barcelona Cathedral

La Rambla: Considered as the most famous walking street in Barcelona, you will surely enjoy your stroll here.

Royal Palace of Madrid

Plaza Mayor, Madrid

Catedral de la Almudena

Opera House Madrid

Teatre-Museu Dalí in Figueres: A visit to this museum is like no other, with lots of Dalí's works to be admired 😊😉

Girona Cathedral

Iglesia de San Felix

Onya River: From one of the bridges, you'll get a wonderful view of the Cathedral of Girona

Casa Salvador Dalí, Portlligat: This is where Dalí usually lived and worked from 1930 to 1982.

Cadaques: When you get the chance, take a trip on Dalí's boat, "Gala" to Cap de Creus.

Ciutadella de Roses

The beautiful beaches of Costa Brava

Cathedral Basilica Metropolitana Primada de Tarragona

Amfiteater, Tarragona

Mediterranean Balcony: From here, you'll get great views of the Amfiteater and Playa El Milagro

Placa dels Sedassos

Playa El Milagro

The food: As they say, when in España, eat some paella 😋
