Summer Trip Flying EVA Air Business Class on 777 & Hello Kitty Jet, Singapore Airlines Suites & Cathay Pacific First Class
Last summer, I travelled to the Philippines for the 70th birthday celebration of my father. It was a very short visit since I needed to be back home for work. I've always wanted to try EVA Air's Hello Kitty Jet so I booked my flight from Stockholm to Fukuoka using Avianca Lifemiles. From Fukuoka, I flew on a budget carrier to Tokyo, and from Tokyo I flew on Singapore Airlines Suites to Singapore, and then first class to Manila using my Kris Flyer Miles. On my way back to Stockholm, I flew on Cathay Pacific First Class and Finnair Business Class using my AA Advantage Miles. This trip allowed me to test EVA Air Hello Kitty, Singapore Suites and Cathay Pacific First Class all for the first time and I couldn't be more satisfied.

CONCLUSION
During my transit at Hongkong International Airport where I had a connecting flight on Cathay Pacific to Frankfurt in first class last July, there were two first class lounges I could access: the first was the newly opened The Pier First Class Lounge which is no doubt one of the nicest first class lounges I've visited, and the other one was this one, The Wing First Class Lounge. In comparison, The Wing, although much bigger in size has the older design which is not that appealing specially if you have visited The Pier First Class Lounge first before coming here. The lounge located on level 7 gives beautiful view of the tarmac and feels much more spacious due to the terminal's high ceilings. The downside is that it is an open space and that you could hear all the noise from the terminal. There were several seating areas where one could easily find a seat but the fact the One World Emerald members flying in economy have access to this lounge means it could get really busy sometimes. There were lots of waiters roaming around ready to take your drinks order, or you could always ask for a cocktail from the bar. The dining room which is catered by The Peninsula offers an excellent dining experience. I can't think of any other airline lounge which uses The Peninsula or the like for their catering so kudos to Cathay Pacific for that! And of course, the famous cabanas which has a bathtub and a day bed is simply unbeatable. In comparison, the Thai Royal First Lounge in Bangkok offers a complimentary massage in their Royal Orchid Spa and a few slumber rooms inside the lounge proper so it's just a matter of preference. Overall, with well-trained staff, an excellent dining experience courteousy of The Peninsula, and lastly the famous cabanas, this lounge is definitely one of the most complete first class lounge there is.
