Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800 bound for Kuala Lumpur

Flight: MH 722
Departure from Jakarta (CGK): 18:25
Arrival in Kuala Lumpur (KUL): 21:25
Equipment: Boeing 737-800
Date of flight: January 31, 2015
Flight duration: 2h 0m
Seat: 2C
*This is an award travel, Business Class flight #68

Boarding started around 17:55 at gate D4.

My seat was 2C (although I decided to take the picture of seat 2A so as not to block the boarding passengers). The business class cabin has a 2-2 configuration with a total of 16 seats. That night, the cabin was full. As soon as I was seated, one of the cabin attendants welcomed me on board and took my pre departure beverage order. Newspapers (Strait Times), menu, magazines and headsets were all inserted in the seat pocket in front of me.

For my predeparture beverage, I chose a glass of pink guava juice which tasted very good.

Appetizer
Balinese Chicken Salad

Main Course
Tuturuga Chicken / Stir Fried Beef with Green Chilli Soya Sauce / Baked Fillet of Fish

Fresh Fruits

One can also pre-order his meal online although I presume that this is only for long haul flights.

I chose the Baked Fillet of Fish for my dinner and it actually tasted very good. I was also offered tea or coffee after enjoying my main course but I declined. Hot towels were given after the meal service as well.

We arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport about 20 minutes ahead of time which was a good thing since I wanted to come early to the hotel and have a good rest after a long flight from Europe.

CONCLUSION

It was my first time to fly on Malaysia Airlines in business class and I thought that the service was very attentive and that the food tasted great. I think that they are doing the right thing in continuing the great service they are known for, considering the not so good things that happened in the recent past. Overall, a very nice flight.
